Being raised in a Christian home afforded me the opportunity to learn of Christ at a young age. As my family was driving home from my grandparents, I at the age of 5, began questioning my parents as to what happens when we die. After arriving home, my parents took the Bible and showed me how I could know Christ as my Savior.
During my senior year of high school, a missionary came to speak to my youth group. That night my eyes were opened to the need all across the world. I realized that there were people who had never heard the name of Christ. God began breaking my heart for lost souls and I surrendered to go wherever He might lead.
After high school, God led me to Tennessee Temple University where I began to train for the mission field. It was there that I met Heather. It was amazing to see how God had been preparing Heather’s heart for a ministry to unreached people. Knowing we needed ministry experience and maturity before leaving for the field, we began working for Metro Baptist Church and School. We gained valuable experience that has helped us in many ways in beginning our ministry in Thailand.

Church was practically my second home. My dad has been my pastor since I was 2 weeks old. At the age of four, I realized that Christ was not just for all those other people in the church; I needed Him too. So as a young child, I accepted Christ as my Savior!
As a young teenager I surrendered my life to full-time Christian work, but it was not until my senior year of high school that I surrendered my life to missions specifically. During my church’s annual missions conference, I felt a burden to do more than just pray or give to missions, I felt like God really wanted me to go. I was unsure what that would mean for my future but was trusting Him to lead step by step. The Lord in His perfect ways, timing and plan led me to TTU, to my husband Ryan and eventually Thailand!
